World Cup Tree Planting Tracker: Latest Running Total

Global Travel Management's World Cup tree planting initiative is already underway, with the first trees now being added to the GTM Forest following Scotland's opening victory of the tournament.

Ahead of this summer's FIFA World Cup, Global Travel Management announced that it would plant a tree for every England goal and five trees for every Scotland goal scored during the competition. The initiative links support for the home nations with the company's ongoing commitment to sustainability and its wider environmental programme.

Scotland have wasted no time in getting the campaign started. Their 1-0 win over Haiti means the first five trees have now been committed to the GTM Forest, giving Scotland supporters an immediate reason to celebrate both on and off the pitch.

Current GTM Forest World Cup Tree Total: 5 Trees

With Scotland now off the mark and England's campaign still to begin, the total is expected to continue growing as the tournament progresses. Every England goal will add one tree to the GTM Forest, while every Scotland goal will add five, creating a running environmental legacy alongside the football action.

The FIFA World Cup is one of the largest international events on the planet, bringing together teams, officials and supporters from across the globe. By linking goals to tree planting, Global Travel Management is creating a positive environmental impact while celebrating the achievements of the home nations throughout the tournament.

Global Travel Management will continue to track every England and Scotland goal during the World Cup and update the running total of trees committed to the GTM Forest.
