Air France enhances premium business travel with redesigned La Première lounge

Air France has unveiled a redesigned La Première lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, introducing a more private, luxurious and personalised pre-flight experience for First Class passengers as part of its continued investment in premium business travel.

For Global Travel Management's customers, the announcement highlights the continuing importance airlines are placing on the end-to-end business travel experience, particularly for senior executives and premium travellers. While only a small proportion of UK business travellers will fly in La Première, many businesses increasingly recognise that airport lounges can provide valuable space to work, prepare for meetings, relax between flights or recover after long-haul travel.

Located in Terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the redesigned La Première lounge has been created to complement Air France's new La Première suites onboard its aircraft, providing a seamless premium journey from arrival at the airport through to boarding. Spanning more than 1,000 square metres, the new lounge has been designed by Air France in collaboration with MARKS Brandimage, with a strong emphasis on privacy, comfort and personalised service.

Guests are welcomed through an exclusive private airport experience before entering the lounge, where a series of carefully designed spaces cater for every stage of the journey. Individual seating areas, discreet partitions and intimate "cocoons" create quiet places to work or unwind, while elegant furnishings and carefully selected materials reinforce the airline's premium positioning.

The lounge also places considerable emphasis on fine dining. Table service is available throughout the restaurant area, allowing guests to enjoy refined French cuisine before departure in a relaxed setting rather than from a traditional buffet. Dedicated wellness facilities offer Sisley spa treatments, while quiet relaxation areas provide an opportunity to rest ahead of long-haul flights. There are also private workspaces equipped for those needing to remain productive before departure.

Air France said: "Located in Terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the Air France La Première lounge embodies the promise of an exclusive experience by offering guests the highest expression of travel upon arrival at the airport."

The airline added: "With fine dining options, as well as dedicated areas for rest, wellness treatments, and work, each element is designed to turn every moment into a privileged experience."

The redesign forms part of Air France's wider strategy to elevate its premium offering both on the ground and in the air. The lounge has been designed to provide greater privacy for each guest while integrating seamlessly with the airline's latest First Class cabin, reinforcing Paris Charles de Gaulle's position as one of Europe's leading international hubs for premium travellers.

Paul Baker, Sales Director of Global Travel Management, said:

"For many senior executives, business travel begins long before they board the aircraft. Premium airport facilities can provide valuable time to work, prepare for important meetings or simply arrive at their destination better rested. Investments such as this demonstrate how leading airlines continue to enhance every stage of the journey for business travellers, not just the flight itself."

According to Air France, the redesigned lounge is the latest milestone in the airline's continued investment in its La Première product, combining premium hospitality, personalised service and thoughtfully designed spaces to create a more exclusive airport experience.
