New Air France lounge at Heathrow enhances the business travel experience
Air France has opened a new premium lounge at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, giving eligible customers travelling through one of the UK's busiest international gateways access to a new French-inspired space featuring fine dining, wellness facilities and dedicated areas for premium passengers.
The development will be of particular interest to Global Travel Management's business travel customers who regularly fly between the UK and Paris or connect onwards via Air France's global network. With up to six daily flights between London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle during the summer schedule, the new lounge provides business travellers with an enhanced pre-flight experience, whether they are travelling directly to France or making onward connections across Europe, Asia, Africa or the Americas.
Located in Terminal 4, the new lounge is open daily from 5.00 am until 10.00 pm and welcomes Air France La Première and Business customers (excluding Business Light fares), Flying Blue Elite Plus members and eligible customers travelling with KLM and other SkyTeam alliance airlines. It is the first dedicated Air France lounge at Heathrow and has been designed to offer a calm, refined environment where passengers can relax, dine or work before departure or during a connection.
Designed by Air France's own teams in collaboration with MARKS Brandimage, the 750-square-metre lounge accommodates almost 150 guests. Large windows overlooking the airfield, Air France's distinctive blue, white and red colour palette, and furniture from leading French designers including Margaux Keller, Pierre Paulin, Patrick Jouin and Christophe Pillet have been combined to create a contemporary space that reflects the airline's heritage and premium positioning.
At the heart of the lounge is a dining area seating almost 60 guests, where traditional French cuisine is served throughout the day. The menu changes regularly and offers a selection of hot and cold dishes, including vegetarian options, while a staffed bar serves champagne, French wines and premium spirits. Air France says it is also prioritising local and seasonal ingredients, reducing food waste and limiting single-use plastics through the provision of water dispensers as part of its wider sustainability programme.
Business travellers looking to arrive refreshed can also take advantage of a dedicated Clarins treatment area. Operated in partnership with the beauty brand, which has worked with Air France for almost 20 years, the facility offers complimentary treatments including "Anti Jet-Lag", "L'Instant Detox" and "Focus Regard". The treatment area opened on weekdays from 13 July, with appointments available at the lounge reception, while La Première customers can reserve treatments in advance using their dedicated telephone service.
The lounge also includes exclusive areas for Air France's La Première customers and Flying Blue Ultimate members. La Première guests benefit from a private lounge area with five seats, personalised dining service and an exclusive "Destination Relaxation" Clarins treatment, while Flying Blue Ultimate members have access to their own quiet seating area designed for privacy and comfort.
Elsewhere, travellers will find dedicated workspaces, quiet relaxation areas, complimentary Wi-Fi, power sockets and USB charging points throughout the lounge, self-service eligibility kiosks for faster access, television screens and a wide selection of French and international digital newspapers and magazines via the Air France Press app.
Paul Baker, Sales Director of Global Travel Management, said:
"Time spent at the airport can have a real impact on the overall business travel experience. Investments such as this give UK business travellers the opportunity to work more productively, relax before departure and arrive at their destination feeling better prepared for an important meeting or event."
