Virgin Atlantic rewards long-term business travel loyalty with High Five Flying Club scheme

Virgin Atlantic has launched High Five, a new Flying Club initiative that instantly rewards long-term loyalty by granting tens of thousands of members Virgin Points for flying with the airline across five different years.

For UK-based business travellers, this development is particularly relevant as it recognises consistent travel behaviour over time rather than frequency alone, benefiting those whose business travel patterns may vary year to year but who repeatedly choose the same airline for domestic and international trips. It also enhances the overall value proposition of business travel by accelerating access to reward flights and upgrades.

High Five is now live, with flight tracking backdated to 1 January 2021, meaning tens of thousands of eligible Flying Club members will receive their reward immediately. Eligible members will be credited with 12,000 Virgin Points, while Red Tier members will also earn 10% bonus points on all future Virgin Atlantic flights. Rewards are automatically credited to members’ Flying Club accounts, and progress towards the next High Five reward will soon be visible in the Virgin Atlantic app.

By way of illustration, a return Saver Reward Seat from London to New York starts from 12,000 Virgin Points in Economy and 16,500 Virgin Points in Premium, subject to availability, taxes, fees and charges. Members with household accounts can also pool multiple 12,000-point rewards earned within the same year, while Virgin Points never expire and can be redeemed across Virgin Atlantic, Delta Air Lines and other partners within the Virgin Red family.

Anthony Woodman, Vice President, Flying Club & CRM at Virgin Atlantic, said

“Not everyone flies every month, but many of our customers come back to Virgin Atlantic year after year – and that commitment deserves to be rewarded. High Five is our way of recognising that loyalty isn’t one-size-fits-all and giving something back to customers who make Virgin Atlantic their airline of choice over time.”

High Five was unveiled in November 2025 and builds on a series of Flying Club enhancements designed to make loyalty more rewarding, including reward flights counting towards status, non-expiring points, and unlimited availability of reward seats. These changes further strengthen Virgin Atlantic’s appeal for business travel, particularly for travellers based in the UK who value flexibility, transparency and long-term value from their travel programmes.

Commenting on the launch, Paul Baker, Sales Director of Global Travel Management, said

“For UK-based business travellers, initiatives like High Five deliver tangible value from the business travel they are already undertaking, helping companies and travellers alike get more return from their loyalty while supporting smarter, more rewarding travel choices.”

Business travellers who would like further information about how airline loyalty developments such as High Five may benefit their business travel programme are encouraged to contact their Global Travel Management Account Manager.

Loyalty isn’t just about how often you fly - it’s about coming back year after year.
