Train + Air expansion offers more low-carbon options for business travel to France

Air France and SNCF Voyageurs have expanded their long-standing Train + Air partnership, enabling business travellers to combine flights with both TGV INOUI and OUIGO train services in a single, fully protected booking to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

This development will be of particular interest to UK-based business travellers who regularly travel to France, as it simplifies onward connections from Paris to key commercial centres such as Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, while supporting lower-carbon business travel through seamless rail and air integration.

For more than 30 years, Air France and SNCF Voyageurs have worked together to improve airport access by rail and encourage more sustainable mobility where viable, with the Train + Air offer forming the backbone of this collaboration by allowing flights and rail journeys to be booked together digitally, including automatic rebooking on the next available train or flight in the event of disruption.

Previously limited to TGV INOUI services, the Train + Air offer now includes OUIGO trains, initially covering routes to and from Aix-en-Provence TGV, Avignon TGV and Marseille-Saint Charles, with plans to extend the service progressively to all 70 destinations served by OUIGO across France.

Whether travelling on TGV INOUI or OUIGO, customers benefit from a single reservation for their entire journey, guaranteed onward travel at no extra cost if disruption occurs, and a fully digital experience, including online check-in via airfrance.com from 30 hours before departure, or 24 hours for flights to the United States.

By September 2026, the inclusion of OUIGO will see 27 French rail stations connected directly to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport through the Train + Air programme, further strengthening intermodal options for business travel into and within France.

Vincent Etchebehere, Director of Sustainability and New Mobilities at Air France, said “Intermodality is a central pillar of Air France’s decarbonization strategy. The progressive integration of OUIGO trains into the Train+Air offer will allow our customers to benefit from a wider range of low-carbon travel options to reach Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, not only from cities already served by TGV INOUI, but also, starting in 2026, from new stations across France.”

Jérôme Laffon, General Manager of OUIGO at SNCF Voyageurs, said “The integration of OUIGO trains into Train+Air marks a new milestone in SNCF Voyageurs’ partnership with Air France, strengthening intermodality and providing our customers with a seamless, digitalized travel solution accessible through a single booking.”

Bookings can be made via Air France and SNCF Voyageurs channels, as well as through partner travel agencies, ensuring managed business travel programmes can access the offer easily.

In addition, since February 2025, members of Flying Blue, the Air France-KLM loyalty programme, have been able to convert their Miles into SNCF Voyageurs vouchers with a value of between €25 and €100, a feature that has quickly become the most popular non-air redemption option for Flying Blue members.

Commenting on the announcement, Paul Baker, Sales Director of Global Travel Management, said “For UK-based business travellers, this enhanced Train + Air offer makes travelling within France more efficient, resilient and sustainable, particularly when flying into Paris and connecting onwards by rail. It supports smarter business travel choices while reducing complexity for travellers and travel bookers alike.”

SNCF Voyageurs operates passenger rail services across France and Europe, transporting around five million passengers every day and delivering shared mobility solutions focused on service quality, cost efficiency and environmental responsibility, while Air France continues to invest heavily in fleet renewal, sustainable aviation fuel and eco-piloting as part of its commitment to reduce CO2 emissions per passenger-kilometre by 30% by 2030 compared with 2019.

Business travellers who would like further information about how Train + Air bookings can be incorporated into their business travel programme are encouraged to contact their Global Travel Management Account Manager.
