Heathrow has increased its sustainable aviation fuel incentive for 2026, committing more than £80 million to help airlines exceed the UK SAF mandate and accelerate decarbonisation across its network.

The move is set to reduce carbon emissions significantly while strengthening the long-term sustainability of business travel for UK-based organisations and corporate travellers.

A new report from Rolls-Royce, easyJet, Heathrow and UCL ATSLab shows that hydrogen-powered aircraft could significantly reduce aviation carbon emissions while supporting business travel growth across the UK and Europe.

The research highlights how early investment in hydrogen infrastructure at major airports, alongside Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), offers a practical and cost-effective path to greener corporate travel.
