Qatar Airways and IHG unite to deliver new rewards programme for business travel

Qatar Airways and IHG Hotels & Resorts have formed a new partnership linking their corporate travel programmes to offer integrated loyalty rewards, enhanced savings, and improved value for organisations using business travel.

This development will be of particular interest to UK-based business travellers seeking to maximise the return on their corporate travel budgets, with enhanced earning and redemption opportunities now available across one of the world’s leading global airline networks and a hotel portfolio spanning over 6,800 properties.

Qatar Airways has confirmed that the partnership will bring together its Beyond Business programme with IHG Hotels & Resorts’ long-standing corporate solution, IHG Business Edge, enabling mutual point earning and redemption across both brands’ loyalty ecosystems. Beyond Business provides a comprehensive set of benefits for corporates, including Qrewards accrual and redemption, Privilege Club tier offers, priority baggage handling and the option to offset carbon emissions for past and future flights via the airline’s voluntary carbon offset programme. The programme also provides tailored solutions to help companies optimise savings in line with their travel spend.

Under the new partnership, members will be able to enjoy exclusive rewards when enrolling in IHG Business Edge at no cost. After completing their first qualifying stay, corporate travellers will receive an automatic upgrade to IHG One Rewards Gold Elite status, obtain guaranteed discounts at more than 6,800 IHG hotels worldwide, and earn 40% more points with each eligible stay. IHG Business Edge, launched in 2018, currently supports tens of thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises globally, offering streamlined booking tools, exclusive rates and loyalty benefits. In addition, IHG Business Edge members who join Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business will be awarded 50,000 bonus Qrewards on their first flight, redeemable for flights, upgrades and a range of other benefits.
