New Finnair route enhances business travel to Canada’s commercial hub

Finnair will launch flights to Toronto, Canada, on 4 May 2026, offering three weekly services on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, marking the airline’s return to the city after an 11-year hiatus. This new route is a significant enhancement for UK-based business travellers seeking efficient connections to Canada’s commercial hub. The route, previously operated by Finnair until 2015, strengthens Global Travel Management’s ability to provide its clients with seamless travel options to a key North American destination.

For Global Travel Management’s customers, this route is particularly beneficial as it offers direct access to Toronto, Canada’s largest city and a vital financial and commercial centre, ideal for business engagements and networking. Toronto’s vibrant multicultural scene and its proximity to Niagara Falls, just over 100 kilometres away, also make it an appealing destination for UK business travellers who wish to combine professional commitments with cultural or leisure experiences. This aligns with the needs of clients who prioritise efficient, high-quality travel solutions with added flexibility.

Christine Rovelli, Finnair’s Chief Revenue Officer, said,

“We are excited to grow our North American network and bring Canada back as a destination. Toronto is a popular travel destination and offers especially our European customers great connections also to other parts of Canada.”

Paul Baker, Sales Director at Global Travel Management, said,

“Finnair’s Toronto route is a game-changer for our UK clients, offering direct access to a key business hub with excellent onward connections, ensuring they can maximise productivity while enjoying the flexibility to explore Canada’s dynamic cultural and natural attractions.”

Finnair’s summer 2026 schedule also includes flights to New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle, further expanding options for UK business travellers. This robust North American network reinforces Finnair’s role as a dependable partner for transatlantic business travel, complementing Global Travel Management’s commitment to delivering tailored, efficient travel solutions.
