London Gatwick welcomes healthy dining option for business travel passengers
Healthy eating chain Tossed is set to open its first-ever airport restaurant at London Gatwick’s North Terminal, bringing freshly made salads, wraps and healthier meal options to passengers travelling through one of the UK’s busiest business travel hubs.
The new opening will be of particular interest to Global Travel Management customers travelling on business through London Gatwick, as demand continues to grow for healthier, higher-quality food options that fit around busy travel schedules and long working days. For many business travel passengers, access to nutritious meals and quicker ordering options has become an increasingly important part of the overall airport experience.
Tossed will open in London Gatwick’s North Terminal this autumn, marking a significant milestone for the UK healthy eating brand as it enters the airport sector for the first time. The restaurant will offer its well-known range of freshly prepared salads and wraps, alongside an expanded all-day menu designed specifically for airport passengers.
The airport-exclusive menu will include breakfast burritos, scrambled free-range eggs, sourdough toast and a dedicated children’s menu, helping cater for passengers travelling at different times of day and with varying travel needs. The restaurant will also feature digital ordering screens and order-at-table technology to help passengers manage their time more efficiently before flights.
As airports increasingly evolve beyond traditional fast-food offerings, the arrival of Tossed reflects wider changes in passenger expectations, particularly among frequent flyers and corporate travellers looking for healthier dining choices while travelling on business. The new restaurant joins other major brands at Gatwick including Shake Shack, Wagamama and Tortilla.
The design of the new restaurant has also been developed to create a calmer airport dining environment, incorporating live foliage and a reclaimed wooden ceiling within the recently refurbished North Terminal. The focus on atmosphere and wellbeing mirrors broader trends across the business travel sector, where airports are increasingly investing in passenger comfort and experience.
Stephane Geffroy, Head of Retail at London Gatwick, said:
“Tossed is a fantastic addition to our North Terminal, offering passengers fresh, made-to-order food that fits perfectly around their journey. It’s great to see such a popular high-street brand make its airport debut at London Gatwick.”
Neil Sebba, Managing Director of Tossed, said:
“Securing a flagship location in one of the UK’s busiest airport terminals is a massive milestone for Tossed. There is a huge, untapped demand for healthier options in travel hubs, and we share a clear vision with London Gatwick on how to meet that need. We’re ready to show passengers that fast food can be fresh, healthy and delicious.”
Tossed currently operates 14 restaurants across the UK, predominantly in London, and has built its reputation around freshly made, made-to-order healthy meals including salads, grain bowls, wraps, smoothies and protein-focused dishes. Gatwick will become the brand’s first dedicated travel hub location.
London Gatwick remains one of the UK’s most important airports for business travel, serving around 43 million passengers annually with more than 60 airlines operating to over 210 destinations worldwide. The airport is also undergoing a wider £2 billion sustainable growth programme, including plans to increase capacity and achieve net zero airport operations by 2030.
Paul Baker, Sales Director of Global Travel Management, said:
“For many frequent business travel passengers, airport dining options can have a genuine impact on comfort, wellbeing and productivity during a journey. The arrival of Tossed at London Gatwick reflects the growing demand for healthier, higher-quality food choices that fit around modern business travel schedules. Having access to fresh meals and efficient ordering options is something many corporate travellers increasingly value, particularly during busy travel days.”
Tossed is scheduled to open at London Gatwick in November 2026.
